Tenant Organizing

There are landlords who care more about making money than they do about providing safe housing. And sometimes the law is not enough to address and protect tenants’ right to accessible, affordable, and adequate housing.

In response to this, tenants can organize and fight for better conditions. There are two main ways to organize tenants to fight for better housing. The first, is to form tenant unions or associations of tenants; and the second, is to organize tenants across different buildings or geographic areas to fight for issues that affect everyone.
